MY WORK ON THE SET OF STAR TREK VOYAGER

Paramount 1_edited.jpg

Built this 1 piece solid wood slab garage door for an episode where the STAR TREK crew went back in time to the 1950s. Specifications for the door was that it had to resemble a door from that era. This entire garage was built in the set just for this episode.

After I finished with my work, I walked around the set and admired the craftsmanship that it takes to detail the set. I'm sitting here on the sick bays desk. Unfortunately, without all the background lighting and set equipment on, It just isn't the same.

Walking on the empty set of STAR TREKS crew ships deck. It was an honor to work with these artists that build these amazing sets. I guess that's where I got my inspiration to take on projects with a challenge.

Electrical outlets on kitchen island challenge

Customer did not have outlets on her kitchen island.. She bakes alot and wanted an outlet on each end of island. The only way to do this was to run it underground breaking concrete. The real challenge was finding 6 pieces of matching tile that was discontinued 5 years ago at home depot. Luckily she had just one tile that had in small print on side with the year and an item number. I called Home Depot headquarters and no luck. At least they were able to give me the name of item and manufacturer. I searched through tile stores to see something that matched or came close. But, No luck! I looked  online for about a month. I pretty much gave up from disappointment. Until I searched locally stores that purchased Home Depot closeout inventory, And with luck, I found a warehouse in town with 14 boxes. I just needed 1 box. But I purchased 2. I don't know who was happier. Me or the customer. I carefully removed a pattern in tile from wall to island. Trying to avoid chipping other tiles that we were keeping. I ran electrical from the wall behind fridge down to the concrete. cut approximately a couple of inches into the concrete to run conduit towards the bottom of island. Tiled it, grouted it and retrimmed cabinets and mission accomplished!

The very first lit glass tile border backsplash

This is my daughter's house. She wanted a backsplash, so I talked her into doing one with my creative side in mind. To create the first Kitchen Backsplash with an LED lighting feature from behind a glass tile. She was hesitant at first. But once I finished it, she showed it off to everyone that visited her home.

A remote allows you to adjust brightness and color shades along with other light changing features. After I showed some of my high-end contractors and designer clients a video, they were ready to show their clientele this never been done unique design.

CUSTOM ELECTRIC FIREPLACE AND CUSTOM MANTLE

This fireplace is a nice addition to a plain wall that needs a little focal point. Simple, inexpensive a great way to add warmth and beauty to any room in the house. The top of the mantles top lid comes off to hide valuables, remotes and a firearm for protection. The paneling was actually 7" wood flooring planks. The possibilities are endless. You design it, I will build it!

If you're looking for a trustworthy handyman, look no further than Rocky! For over six years, he's been my go-to for all repairs around the house. Not only is he incredibly skilled, but he has also become a dear friend who genuinely looks out for me as an elderly woman living alone. I can’t recommend him enough—he’s a tresure and truly a sweetheart!

Rocky, is one amazing guy. In fact, I would almost call him a genius. I had hired an alternate company to come out and build a cover over my front door area. I paid this alternate company all of the money that he had placed on the bid. Sadly he never finished his job and left everything a mess. When I finally found Rocky and contacted him he came out to give me a price to basically repair the work the other contractor had failed to do correctly and to finish. Rocky did an outstanding job. The final product is so beautiful and meticulous. I will forever be grateful to Rocky for helping me remediate the mess that the other contractor made at my home. Rocky's prices are fair and his work is awesome. I believe that he is an honest and decent person as well and this speaks volumes to me. I have used Rocky's services many times since that first project. I recommend Rocky for any job that you may have.

WE LOVE REFERRALS!

My name is Sam and i am a Contractor/Home flipper in the valley. I buy homes and commercial properties here in the Phoenix valley areas. I have known Rocky for about 20 years and he is my go to guy. I mean this guy does it all! When I throw a challenge at him, He helps me solve the problems. I cant think specifically of a job he has not exceeded my expectations on. He also does business signs and other props for customers' request. For example, we had a customer that purchased a night club in the valley. he called it "The Vault" this customer spared no expenses. A real high end client. He wanted ideas to impress his customers. I took Rocky to brainstorm some ideas and we did too many ideas and props for the club to mention. But for example. Rocky suggested that we turn the front door entrance to look like an actual bank vault door. And that he did! The customer wanted Rocky to oversee all ideas for the club and VIP sections. Just too many items to mention. I know he enjoys doing those type of projects rather than doing some boring drywall repair or hanging light fixtures. LOL.

Rocky is pretty much my secret weapon! I highly recommend him on solving your problems! I guarantee you wont be disappointed!!

We can’t say enough good things about Rocky! After poor workmanship from others, it was hard to trust anyone again. But Rocky came highly recommended, and he did not disappoint! I wouldn't gamble on other handyman. Hés our handyman for life.

Rocky was referred to me by a friend that had work done in her home. I had Rocky come and go through a long punch list in order to sell my investment home. He finished every single item on the list. My husband did not want to do the work. He is just too busy and doesn't have the tools and knowledge to do some of the work. We were both very satisfied with the repairs and are glad to know that in case of an emergency we know who to call, He also made some custom built pullout shelves in my mothers home. She is 86 years old and lives alone. So reaching for pans in the bottom cabinets was difficult for her to bend down and pull them out and also put away. She is thrilled with them. We are very happy to know who to call. We gladly recommend him to many friends and family. He gets a lot of work from us. His pricing is very reasonable. We wouldn't call anybody else! Thank you Rocky for your amazing work!  See you sometime in the future!
